the new york times recently had an interesting article about facial recognition and why people see faces in inanimate objects- in the above photos, it's a grilled cheese sandwich, a shell, and a pirogi. that grilled cheese sandwich recently sold for... wait for it... $28,000 on ebay. in case your own facial recognition skills are not finely tuned, that's the virgin mary pictured on the sandwich. i'm hoping that matt is going to start investing some effort in creating food in the image of famous people or religious figures. how much do you think we can get for a quesadilla with the face of britney spears on it? what am i saying? i wouldn't sell that britney spears quesadilla for anything!
