ok, maybe it is not spring today, but it was here yesterday. i saw it! the red winged blackbirds have returned to oak knoll. i heard them and then i saw them and i know they are here, even though they are in hiding today. i tried to take a picture of one, but he was too fast. the male cardinal was also too fast, but his bright color means the picture still looks kind of neat.
