these are my knees 23 hours after my soccer game yesterday. i don't have a "before" picture, but i think it is pretty safe to say that the two knees were similar in appearance up until the second half of that game. then i twisted one of them and now i have a mismatched pair.

Hi
I am jackie van dam, one of your previous neighbors on Leesome lane...I am a physician and looked at your MRI- you have only posted the sagittal views but from what I can see on there it looks like your ACL is intact and there is only a minimal signal of the meniscus (meaning that if there is a tear it is small)..without the axial views it is impossible to examine the medial and lateral collaterals...Your best friend is ICE...15min at least four times a day..and just limit the obvious pivoting on it..you can weight bear as tolerated usually- just stay in a straight line..
HOpe all is well- I will have my husband (who works in orthopaedics as well) peek at it later and I will add more if he sees anything I missed.

hi jackie-
thanks for the evaluation. i do have about 7 different series of images from the mri- i only posted one because i didn't really think i might be able to get an expert opinion via my blog. with the complete set of images, my doctor did say that i have a complete tear of my ACL and a slight tear in the LCL. however, i still have not had a chance to talk to an orthopaedic specialist, so perhaps there is still hope for my ACL!
thanks for checking the blog and thanks for all the good information.
