arrival of fall

matt and i walked down to the lake today. it was the first time i had made the trip in a while and the first time he had made it without either having to take a nice long rest en route or throwing up once he returned to the house. there are hints of color in the trees along the edge of the lake and the indian grass was in full bloom in the field.
