the latest insect outbreak

due to a lack of vigilance on the nectarine pit front, i returned from a weekend off to discover a real fruit fly situation on my hands here at work. fortunately, fruit flies seem easier to control than pantry moths. i just set out a ball jar containing apple cider vinegar and cranberry juice, along with a little bit of dish soap. the flies fly in and can't fly out. sure, my whole office smells like vinegar, but the flies are gone.
