today i led a birthday party at oak knoll. despite the threat of the remnants of tropical storm ernesto approaching from the southwest, we still managed to walk out and around the lake and make it back to the nature center before the first raindrops fell. thank goodness, because i did not have a single indoor activity prepared. i meant to spend the morning getting ready for the party, but instead got embroiled in a complicated magic marker organization protocol that took a lot longer than i thought it would. rest assured that the markers are now well organized. before you scoff, note how virtually indistinguishable tiger orange is from orange and royal purple is from violet (purple). it would have taken you hours to do as well.
