many of the animals on the farm are very good at getting out of the places they are supposed to be. take, for instance, our rebel white hen. she refuses to go into the coop at night and actually roosts on a tree branch about 20 feet above the ground. she'll fly up onto the roof of the coop when we are hustling the chickens back inside at night.
the older of the batches of baby bunnies are also talented little escape artists. last weekend, all eleven of them somehow managed to get out. fortunately, we had quite a crew of bunny wranglers on hand to help catch them all- both of matt's sisters as well as his nephew. it is also fortunate that there is a massive pile of junk immediately adjacent to the bunny pen. this was good because it gave the baby bunnies ample inacessible places to hide and also many opportunities for us to get tetanus. i spent most of my time cuddling with the baby bunnies that other people had caught and telling them how cute they are.
