management trainings

eastern mountain sports has been renting the program room at oak knoll once a month over the past year. i have never sat in on one of the training sessions they hold, but i know they are designed to help people in their organization be more effective managers. earl loves training days, and completely abandons me to spend the entire day lounging on the table and the welcoming laps of various participants, batting at their pencils if they somehow cease to pay attention to him, and attempting to eat their cold cuts and yogurt. this afternoon, as i was getting ready to leave, earl walked up and asked me what personal qualities made me uniquely suited to change the litter in his box. it seems today's training was on interviewing techniques. i guess i should keep him locked in my office while ems is there. the last thing i need is for that cat to learn how to be more bossy.
