taken aback

we had a very nice time at paws in the park today. happily, we were able to see squiggy, along with his father diddy, and his brother myster.

like a vampire hates light and like a ninja hates halloween, it seems that the ugly dog myster hates cuteness in all its forms. watch his shock and horror as little nina approaches him.

first, everything seems ok as myster makes eye-contact with me:

then, he sees nina. "nnnnoooooooo, make the adorableness stop!!! and oh god, you say she has a polka-dotted belly? i will vomit on your shoes. get her grand cuteness away from me this instant!"

and nina, never having faced such a reaction from another canine, seems a bit put out. how could anybody not love nina? she rolled over and showed him her polka-dotted belly, just to make sure there hadn't been some sort of mistake.

myster took off out of there before nina's unabashed flaunting of her cuteness made all his hair fall out, his face wrinkle up and his skin break out with zits.

well, i guess the poor guy just wasn't fast enough.
