we went over to mike and joanna's house for dinner last night. their four-year old daughter alexa is an expert reader. i watched her successfully tackle "mysterious," "nocturnal," and "amphibian." it's pretty amazing. almost as amazing as her ability to contentedly sit in a chair like this.
