ring around the water cooler

it seems like in all movies which involve talking chickens, the chickens really love to gossip. i bet our chickens are talking about the poor quality of the grain we've fed them for the past few days. we had to move the grain outside because of the pantry moth infestation (which might now be under control- more on this later) and it was quickly discovered by a raccoon, who left the garbage pail open all night in the rain. rain + grain = yuck. things are really starting to ferment, so i imagine in a couple of days, the chickens will be too drunk to gossip.
