the party at farm street

we celebrated the fourth on the second with a picnic party at our house. some folks played a version of bocce using balls from a croquet set that matt got at the dump. it's a nice set, but was lacking wickets. someone suggested we make those out of clothes hangers, so the bocce people will likely have to fight the croquet people for use of the balls at our next party.

we also went down to the lake, where a fear of leeches and/or ebola kept most people out of the water, but mancini, eric, and damon all spent some time swimming. others watched from shore.

there was lots of tasty food, including baked beans from ruthann and a pie that mancini won in a raffle.
